A special time just for young children with their caregivers and families, story time brings children together to experience stories as an event and share the oohs, ahs, and mystery of ‘what will happen next?’ with others.
Story time is a great activity for children.
Children who often hear stories read aloud learn how to listen, learn more words and how to use them, and absorb new facts and ideas. In the adventure of story, kids also grow in imagination, problem-solving and creativity. Kids who listen to stories are better prepared for life and school. Story time at the library builds a child’s fascination with reading and teaches skills that can be a lifelong advantage.
Most of all, it’s fun!
