Chalk it Up for Books Sidewalk Art Event!

Support the Kim Yerton Memorial Library

This is the fundraiser that helps us buy new materials for the library, promote literacy to folks from the Hoopa Valley and Klamath-Trinity areas, & support children’s programs at the library — including the Summer Reading Program.

Sign up ahead to be part of this popular community art activity, or just come and watch! Our sidewalk blooms in a glorious carpet of colors, flowers, patterns, critters, portraits and organization names. Sponsors of a square may draw their own or recruit an artist to draw for them; they may request a subject for the drawing or give the artist free rein. Volunteer artists sign up to be on hand in case a sponsor needs them. The sponsor’s name is a part of the square, so businesses love to support this fantastic community art project
