Walk into Unique Boutique and the first word out of most people’s mouths is “Wow.” That reaction is exactly what owner Kelley Harris is going for.
Unique Boutique is a treasure trove of new and used finds in Willow Creek, offering gifts, glitz and glam clothing, shoes and hats, Bigfoot themed merchandise, jewelry, cosmetics and soaps, plus vintage kitchenware, toys, antiques, men’s clothing and gear, and leather goods, and honestly, that’s still only part of it. Much of it comes through consignment and locally made goods from vendors, and the inventory turns over so constantly that no list could really keep up. Kelley sums up the shop’s mission simply, an experience that’s new all the time, ever changing, and always a little different than the last visit, which is exactly why it’s worth stopping in often to see what’s new.
Kelley moved to the area from Eureka 30 years ago and had been doing this work on a smaller scale for years before opening the shop’s doors. She runs the shop with her team. Dara Kelley is store manager, keeping pricing and organizing running smoothly, and Janine Wright is assistant manager, the one who gets things done, including climbing the ladder to help pull a display together.
That change shows up seasonally too. Costumes make an appearance every fall, and the shop transforms each winter into a full holiday gift stop that holds its own against some of the best holiday shops around, worth building into your gift list year after year.
