We are excited to spotlight Emerald Queen Farms, proud Willow Creek Chamber members for the past 5 years. The farm is owned and operated by Hannah Whyte and Riley Morrison, the entrepreneurs and farmers behind the brand. Their off grid farm sits on the southeast end of Panther Ridge overlooking the South Fork Trinity River.
Emerald Queen Farms has been cultivating in Willow Creek for 15 years. They produce organically grown, sun grown cannabis and are known for their commitment to regenerative practices. Their work has been featured in The Emerald Magazine, California LEAF, and they were named the 2025 NCJ Best of Humboldt Cannabis Farm.
A fun fact from the farm: they have a skate ramp tucked behind their solar panels. When they are not tending the land, Riley and Hannah stay active in the community. Riley helped bring the Willow Creek Skatepark to life and continues to support its expansion through his work with the Willow Creek Community Services District where he serves as Chair of the Board. Hannah serves as Board Chair and Acting Director for Humboldt County Growers Alliance, supporting legal cannabis businesses across the region.
They love working with the land, spending their days outdoors, and building meaningful connections with their plants and community. Looking ahead, Emerald Queen Farms hopes to offer on farm stays and educational opportunities focused on regenerative cultivation and sun grown cannabis.
Willow Creek has been home for them from the moment they arrived seeking a safe, beautiful place to raise their family. The river, the clean air, the wildlife, and the neighbors who have become lifelong friends keep them rooted here. They sum up the region best: river fun in the mountain sun.
