Bigfoot Days or Daze
Humboldt’s hairy hominid returns for a festive homecoming to the town where his legend began.
Bigfoot Daze or Bigfoot Days is an annual festival held the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend every year in the rural community of Willow Creek, California.
Bigfoot Daze 2021 is canceled. This family-friendly community event is fun for all ages. From the ever popular Themed Parade to the traditional Logging Contests, this event is not to be missed.
Started by a small group of locals to celebrate the logging industry, the festival has become an exceptional fund-raising opportunity for local non-profits, a wonderful showcase for local businesses, artists and vendors plus a great reason for visitors so come to our spectacularly, scenic community. Each year, a group of civic-minded citizens get together and host a fund-raising auction in December to fund the event. Both local and coastal Humboldt County businesses donate to this fundraiser and community members give generously. A core group of organizers put in many hours of sweat and some tears so that the event has as many activities and as much participation as possible.
And what about Bigfoot, the hairy Sasquatch, he/she/it is seen around town many times on Bigfoot Daze!
Participation is the best way to donate and have fun at the same time, so join the parade, set up an activity booth, food booth, or retail booth.
Saturday Morning starts with a downtown parade at 10am where businesses, non-profits and community members show off lots of style and creative talent.
