Dream Quest, a valued member of the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce, has been a cornerstone of youth development in our community for over two decades. Founded by local visionaries, including Trish Oakes, this 501(c) non-profit organization provides youth with vocational, educational, and creative opportunities, empowering them to build their dreams while strengthening community bonds. Their mission is to create a safe and inclusive space where every young person can thrive, and their latest endeavor, the Dream Quest Community Youth Center, is set to elevate this mission to new heights.
The recent pouring of the foundation for the new Community Youth Center marks a significant milestone for Dream Quest and the entire Willow Creek area. This two-story, 8,200 square foot facility will not only serve with the capacity to be Willow Creek’s first true community center. Equipped with a multipurpose room, commercial kitchen, classrooms, offices, and an outdoor area, this center is designed to be a safe and welcoming space for all. It will provide a venue for performances, community meetings, and emergency services, ensuring that it meets a wide range of community needs.
Dream Quest’s commitment to inclusivity and safety is evident in all their initiatives. Their afterschool programs, summer camps, drama and ballet classes, and StepUP vocational training program are designed to support youth from all backgrounds. The new community youth center will further this commitment by offering a space where young people can explore their potential
in a supportive environment. The facility will also serve as an emergency shelter, equipped with showers, charging stations, and air filtration systems, providing a vital resource during wildfires and extreme weather events.
