Meet the Board
Meet the hard-working and dedicated individuals who make up the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce Board. They are local citizens, just like you, who love this area and strive to bring out the best in all they do.
The board positions are voted on once a year, in December, and anyone interested in serving the local community is welcome to participate! In the meantime, why not join us at one of our monthly board meetings? They are held on the last Wednesday of each month beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Community Services District. Everyone is welcome to attend and we encourage your input as we strive to make positive changes for our community.
In June 2008, Trina moved to this area after receiving the Member Services Manager position at Coast Central Credit Union. She has been involved with the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce since 2009. She loves this community and everything it has to offer. The changing seasons, small community vibe and our proximity to the river are some of Trina's favorite things about this area. She enjoys working with the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce to make our community an even better place to live and work.
Being born and raised in Humboldt County, I developed a sense of community and eagerness to support our local community. The best way I know to do that is to be part of the Chamber of Commerce and have served as either Board President or Board member since 2008. As Broker and Owner of Humboldt Land Company Real Estate I feel even more driven to help our community thrive by being a part of the Willow Creek Chamber of Commerce.
I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the early 1970's in Belize as a marine biologist. Owned an operated Humboldt Piano Works 1979 to 1985. Served on the Harbor District as a commissioner in the early 1990s. President of the Redwood Region Cancer Society 2008-09. Currently a member of the Willow Creek Kiwanis. I enjoy volunteering as a way to connect with the communities I live in. Contributing to the business community of Willow Creek enhances all our lives in a positive way. Solving problems with a collaborative effort is the best way to move our area forward. Hope to be of assistance.
Born in Renton, Washington, Art moved to Willow Creek with his family in 1951. He has been a very active member of our community since setting up residence here. Art served 23 years as Chief of the Willow Creek Fire Department, served 3 terms on the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District Board, was a partner in Tonkin Construction, managed Napa Auto Parts and, most recently, took over management of the Willow Creek Golf and Country Club in 2004 with his wife, Violet. Art and Vi have been married 58 years and have 3 children, 6 grandkids, 5 great-grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids! Art most appreciates the country atmosphere in Willow Creek, this place he calls home.
Kristan has lived in the Humboldt County area since 2009 and moved to Willow Creek in 2012. He moved from Pacifica, where he ran a video store, to attend Humboldt State University. In 2012 he received degrees in both French and Journalism. From 2012 to 2014, Kristan worked as a Reporter and Acting Editor for the Two Rivers Tribune. From 2014 to 2015 he was the Public Information Officer for the Hoopa Tribe. He likes most about our area the trees (!), fresh air, the wilderness and beauty and, of course, no long commute with lots of traffic!
